If you’ve been following Budget 4x4 Life for a while, you’ll know that Android head units have been one of our best-selling products. We’ve sold over 120 units and have always stood behind them 110%—not just in quality, but also in support.
However, after a lot of consideration, we’ve made the tough decision to stop selling them on our website.
Why Are We Stopping Sales?
At Budget 4x4 Life, customer satisfaction is everything to us. We don’t just sell products—we back them, we test them, and we provide the support our customers need before and after purchase.
With head units, the reality is that install questions and troubleshooting take up hours of our week, and as a small business, we’ve had to step back and ask:
👉 Is this sustainable for us?
👉 Can we continue offering the level of support we’re known for?
The answer? Not really.
Unlike some businesses that just list products and call it a day, we believe that sales come with responsibilities. And if we can’t provide post-sale support to our standards, we’d rather not sell the product at all.
That’s why we’ve made the tough but necessary decision to remove them from our store.
Still Need Help? We’ve Got You Covered!
If you’ve already purchased a head unit from us—don’t stress! Our support doesn’t stop here. We’re still here to assist you as we always have.
Plus, we’re taking the time to create short YouTube videos answering some of the most common install and troubleshooting questions, so you’ll have access to step-by-step help when you need it.
Thinking of Buying a Head Unit Elsewhere? Read This First!
We still love our head unit and believe it’s one of the best upgrades you can make to a Pajero—but now, you’ll need to purchase one elsewhere.
Before you do, make sure you’re choosing a unit that meets the right standards for your Pajero setup.
✔ Does the unit come with a fan? This helps prevent overheating
✔ Does it have GPS and 4G inputs?
✔ Does it have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?
✔ Does it come with instructions?
✔ Is it suitable for Rockford models, DVD player models, and factory reverse cameras? Not all units are plug-and-play with these features—check compatibility before you buy.
✔ What is the seller’s reputation for post-purchase support? This is a big one—we’ve handled support for people who bought from other sellers and were left in the dark. Don’t let that be you!
✔ What’s the warranty & return policy? If something goes wrong, you’ll want to know that you’re covered.
Final Thoughts
This wasn’t an easy decision, but we know it’s the right move to ensure we can continue delivering the best possible customer experience.
We truly appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to grow, evolve, and focus on the products that allow us to serve you best.
If you have any questions about your existing head unit, please don't hesitate to reach out—we’re still here for you.
